Aimee J. Hefley, Esquire

Aimee J. Hefley, Esq., has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995.  She is admitted to practice in all state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1991 with three majors; English Literature, Journalism, and Judaic Studies as well as maintaining her position on Honor Court and graduating with Honors.  She received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University College of Law in 1994 where she received an Alumni Scholarship and was awarded BEST BRIEF AWARD, Moot Court in 1992.  After law school, Aimee J. Hefley litigated over fifty (50) jury trials and handled over one thousand (1,000) criminal cases at the Public Defender’s Office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.  During this time she was responsible for training attorneys as well as supervising interns in the beginning of their legal careers.  As a Prosecutor for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Aimee J. Hefley continued to handle complex litigation regarding Florida Statute Chapters 120, 455 and 475 before beginning her own private practice.  Equipped with years of experience, Aimee J. Hefley is able to handle all Felony and Misdemeanor accusations both in State and Federal court. Aimee J. Hefley comes from an accomplished family active in the practice of law.  Her husband and partner in the firm, William M. Hefley has many years of experience both as a former prosecutor and civil litigator for one of the largest law firms in Florida.  Aimee continues to practice exclusively in criminal defense.  Attorney Aimee J. Hefley and attorney William M. Hefley are both from South Florida.  They enjoy sports and are avid fans of the Miami Hurricanes football team.
